My good friend Lee Owens and I made the “annual” safari to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to get those great photos at one of my favorite places. Arriving in good spirits after a long drive, we were met with … you guessed it … an early snowfall overnight which closed the roads to the “good spots.” But, there are always opportunities in the Smokies, so we decided to take a look at the old Mingus Grist Mill that we had passed by a few times before. Waiting for the snow to melt and the road to open, I grabbed a few shots of the mill and it’s unique operation.
